About project:
We are looking for a L3 Linux Specialist for our French client, who specializes in producing various types of glasses and collaborating with opticians. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life by improving the quality of vision.
Responsibilities:
- As L3 Linux Specialist you will be responsible for building, deploying, and managing new infrastructure systems, primarily based on Linux, ensuring their proper configuration and stability from day one;
- You will be maintaining the stability, responsiveness, and operational consistency of our platforms, while overseeing the full lifecycle of each deployed environment;
- You will be actively contributing to the continuous improvement of all technical and operational aspects related to Linux-based platforms, proposing enhancements to boost reliability and performance;
- You will be supporting the evaluation and qualification of new technological solutions, tools, and frameworks to meet evolving business and infrastructure needs;
- You will be preparing and delivering monthly reports detailing platform activity, performance metrics, and overall quality, helping to drive data-informed decisions;
- You will be ensuring that all necessary documentation is up to date and accessible, including procedures for first- and second-line support teams to handle routine operations effectively.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in managing enterprise-level Linux environments, ideally in a senior administrator or engineering capacity;
- Work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and 2 days WFH) – Necessary condition;
- Deep subject matter expertise in Linux systems, with a strong understanding of core technologies, services, and system internals;
- Practical experience working with high-density HPE enterprise-grade hardware, including installation, configuration, and maintenance;
- Strong background in automating Linux system administration tasks at scale using Infrastructure-as-Code principles and tools;
- Experience with managing and operating Linux-based environments in Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, including provisioning and integration;
- Proven track record of deploying and maintaining large-scale Linux platforms, ensuring system consistency and performance optimization;
- Proficiency in at least one major scripting language used in Unix/Linux environments, enabling efficient automation and troubleshooting;
- Experience in compiling Linux binary packages from source, ensuring compatibility and performance across supported distributions;
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies used in Linux ecosystems, such as KVM or Xen, for creating and managing virtualized environments;
- Strong knowledge and experience in implementing automated system monitoring for Linux platforms, using modern monitoring and alerting tools;
- Exposure to Enterprise Security Information and Event Management systems, supporting security operations and event analysis;
- Working knowledge of integrating and managing systems within Microsoft Active Directory environments;
- In-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, and diagnostics, as applied in complex enterprise networks.

- Salary for work amounting to 80,000 – 90,000 PHP;
