About project: 

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer for our French client, who specializes in producing various types of glasses and collaborating with opticians. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life by improving the quality of vision.

Responsibilities:

• As a DevOps Engineer you will be designing, maintaining, and evolving cloud-based system architectures and automation strategies that support continuous delivery and ensure zero-downtime deployments across environments;
• You will be working with Docker and Kubernetes to efficiently orchestrate, scale, and monitor microservices, ensuring system resilience and performance in production; 
• You will be designing, implementing, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, enabling reliable and consistent integration and delivery of application updates; 
• You will be using deployment automation tools such as GitHub Workflows and Bitbucket Pipelines to streamline operational processes and accelerate software delivery cycles; 
• You will be partnering with our development teams to provide guidance on setting up automation workflows, resolving infrastructure challenges, and optimizing deployment strategies; 
• You will be managing and supporting complex, distributed enterprise applications deployed within Kubernetes clusters in cloud environments; 
• You will be ensuring seamless integration, interoperability, and efficient operation of cloud-based systems through continuous performance tuning and automation;
• You will be collaborating closely with other DevOps engineers to design, review, and implement best-in-class infrastructure and deployment solutions;
• You will be participating in a rotating on-call schedule, acting as a key point of contact for technical support and contributing to incident resolution and post-mortem analysis.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of practical experience as a DevOps Engineer, including regular use of Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration, and confident handling of YAML files for configuration management;
• Work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and 2 days WFH) – Necessary condition;
• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining continuous integration and delivery pipelines, with hands-on experience using Jenkins to automate builds, testing, and deployments;
• Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and network configurations, allowing for efficient setup, scaling, and securing of cloud-based environments; 
• Strong working knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, including performing administrative tasks, writing queries, and optimizing performance;
• Experience working in Unix or Linux environments, including creating and managing shell scripts and using makefiles to support build processes and development workflows;
• Familiarity with managing and scaling distributed systems in cloud environments, ensuring they run efficiently, reliably, and securely across clusters; 
• Ability to monitor system health and performance at all levels of the application stack, using appropriate tools to identify bottlenecks and potential issues before they escalate;
• Analytical thinking and a proactive mindset when approaching infrastructure and deployment challenges, enabling quick and effective resolution of problems; 
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate smoothly within technical teams and across departments, contributing to a positive and productive work environment. 

Nice to have:

• Professional certifications or advanced studies in DevOps-related fields, such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Docker Certified Associate, Jenkins certification, or Oracle Database credentials, demonstrating a commitment to continued learning and technical excellence.
