About project: 

We are looking for a Storage & Backup Administrator for our French client, who specializes in producing various types of glasses and collaborating with opticians. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life by improving the quality of vision.

Responsibilities:

• As a Storage & Backup Administrator, you will be defining and designing storage and backup infrastructure that supports the organization's performance, scalability, and data protection requirements;
• You will be evaluating existing and potential hardware and software solutions related to the Storage & Backup environment, and making recommendations to improve efficiency and reliability; 
• You will be acting as the escalation point for high-severity incidents that require expert-level Storage & Backup support, ensuring rapid resolution and minimal impact on operations; 
• You will be monitoring storage capacity, performance metrics, and backup success rates to maintain system availability and prevent data loss; 
• You will be conducting regular health checks and preventive maintenance activities to identify risks early and ensure long-term infrastructure stability; 
• You will be developing and maintaining structured backup policies and schedules, aligning with business continuity plans and recovery objectives; 
• You will be testing and validating restore procedures regularly to ensure readiness and reliability in disaster recovery scenarios;
• You will be troubleshooting and resolving incidents related to storage and backup systems, using a methodical and root-cause driven approach;
• You will be contributing to incident trend reduction by identifying recurring issues and addressing them through proactive problem management;
• You will be maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date documentation, including configurations, standard operating procedures, and internal policies;
• You will be preparing capacity planning and utilization reports to help anticipate infrastructure needs and support strategic investment decisions;
• You will be ensuring that all stored and backed-up data is adequately protected, encrypted, and compliant with internal and regulatory security standards.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Storage and Backup Administrator, with a proven track record in managing enterprise-grade storage and backup technologies;
• Work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and 2 days WFH) – Necessary condition;
• Familiarity with the ITIL or ITSM framework, supporting structured incident, problem, and change management practices within IT operations;
• Experience in system administration within Windows Server environments, enabling effective integration and support of backup/storage tools; 
• Knowledge of scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, C++, C#, or CLI, supporting process automation, task scheduling, and system monitoring;
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from IT and non-IT departments to resolve issues and deliver infrastructure improvements;
• Analytical thinking and the ability to synthesize complex technical scenarios into actionable solutions, ensuring fast, informed decision-making.
