About project:
We are looking for a Cloud Network Engineer for our international client, a global leader in cloud‑native software solutions for the property and casualty insurance industry. Their mission is to empower insurers to deliver faster, smarter, and more personalized customer experiences through a low‑code, configurable SaaS platform.
Responsibilities:
- As a Cloud Network Engineer you will be designing and implementing cloud-native and hybrid networking solutions, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security across enterprise environments;
- You will be leading network architecture and infrastructure planning for large-scale cloud migration and modernization projects, helping organizations adopt cloud technologies effectively while minimizing downtime;
- You will be managing and optimizing network routing, load balancing, DNS, and traffic flow across multi-cloud and hybrid environments, delivering stable and high-performing connectivity;
- You will be implementing robust security controls and compliance configurations, including network segmentation, traffic inspection, firewall policies, and encryption in transit, aligned with regulatory and industry standards;
- You will be collaborating with DevOps and security teams to automate network deployments and infrastructure changes using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or AWS CloudFormation;
- You will be monitoring network performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks or incidents in hybrid and multi-cloud setups;
- You will be providing advanced escalation support for networking-related issues, ensuring incident resolution meets service-level objectives and customer expectations.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of professional experience as a Cloud Engineer or Network Engineer, with strong hands-on exposure to cloud platforms;
- Deep expertise in cloud networking concepts and services, including VPCs, subnets, gateways, and routing strategies;
- Hands-on experience with VPNs, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, BGP, IPsec, and other advanced networking protocols;
- Familiarity with network appliances such as F5 BIG-IP, Palo Alto, or Fortinet in cloud or hybrid environments;
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines for automated network management;
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, DNS, firewall configurations, and network security;
- Excellent communication skills with conversational-level English, enabling effective interaction with international teams;
- Flexibility to work during night hours: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (local time).
Nice to have:
- Recognized networking certifications (e.g., CCNP, Azure/Microsoft Certified Professional, or equivalent);
- Scripting experience in PowerShell, Python, or Bash, supporting automation and network orchestration;
- Exposure to container networking (Kubernetes CNI, service meshes);
- Hands-on experience in enterprise-scale network migrations and multi-cloud deployments;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, including networking, monitoring, and governance features;
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus for network visibility;
- Knowledge of IaaS and PaaS environments, supporting modern cloud applications;
- Background in SQL Clustering, Windows Server, or Linux Server administration, bridging networking with system engineering.
