About project:
We are looking for a Sales Audit Accounting Specialist for our French client, who specializes in producing various types of glasses and collaborating with opticians. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life by improving the quality of vision.
Responsibilities:
- As Sales Audit Accounting Specialist you will be ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all financial records related to sales transactions and banking activities;
- You will be preparing daily bank reconciliations by comparing transactions recorded in the accounting system or point-of-sale with those reflected in daily bank statements, credit card reports, and other payment sources;
- You will be ensuring that all variances are properly identified and explained
- You will be analyzing open items and discrepancies identified during the reconciliation process using the Reconnet system, posting the necessary adjusting journal entries to correct identified issues;
- You will be coordinating with business units, store personnel, and other internal teams to investigate and resolve aged or recurring discrepancies in the bank reconciliation or sales audit reports, ensuring timely closure of outstanding items;
- You will be preparing journal entries and maintaining accurate and compliant accounting records for assigned accounts;
- You will be conducting account reconciliations within established deadlines, verifying balances, and ensuring all transactions are properly supported and aligned with company policies and accounting standards;
- You will be assisting the Senior Accountant during month-end closing activities by checking the accuracy of entries and ensuring that assigned entities’ financial results are properly reflected;
- You will be preparing weekly and monthly bank reconciliation reports, summarizing key findings, progress on open items, and recommendations for process improvements;
- You will be gathering, preparing, and analyzing financial information and reports as requested by business users, management, or auditors;
- You will be supporting internal and external audit requirements by preparing detailed schedules, reconciliations, and analyses, ensuring that all documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar position, such as Sales Audit, General Accounting, or Bank Reconciliation, with strong exposure to retail or shared services environments;
- Work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and 2 days WFH) – Necessary condition;
- Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP or Reconnet, with hands-on experience in financial modules related to accounts reconciliation and reporting;
- Advanced Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas for reconciliation and variance analysis;
- Strong analytical ability, with the capacity to identify discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict reporting deadlines;
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial data processing and reporting;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;
- Integrity and confidentiality, ensuring sensitive financial information is handled with professionalism and discretion.
