About project:
We are looking for a Network Administrator for our French client, who deals with the production of various types of glasses as well as cooperation with opticians. Their mission is to improve the quality of life by improving the quality of vision.
The role goes beyond operational monitoring and requires active involvement in design, implementation, and continuous improvement of monitoring solutions.
Responsibilities:
As a Network Administrator with strong hands-on engineering experience in monitoring solutions, you will be configuring and maintaining Nagios-based monitoring platforms, ensuring reliable and comprehensive coverage of critical network, infrastructure, and application components;
You will be designing, implementing, and fine-tuning alerting logic and thresholds, reducing false positives and improving the quality and actionability of monitoring alerts;
You will be performing root cause analysis for incidents and recurring issues, actively contributing to problem management and long-term service stability;
You will be engineering and administering the Nagios platform, including user and role management, permissions, integrations, upgrades, and regular patching activities;
You will be designing and building monitoring dashboards, custom plugins, scripts, and automated alerting rules, custom scripts, and automated alerting rules, improving visibility and operational efficiency;
You will be collaborating with internal teams and external vendors, supporting monitoring tool enhancements, integrations, and platform upgrades;
You will be defining and implementing monitoring standards, SOPs, and best practices, ensuring consistency and alignment across the organization;
You will be working closely with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams, expanding monitoring coverage and aligning monitoring with system architecture;
You will be driving automation initiatives for alerting, reporting, and remediation, improving response times and reducing manual operational effort;
You will be providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior monitoring analysts, supporting skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements:
3+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Administrator or Monitoring Engineer, with active involvement in designing, implementing, and optimizing monitoring solutions;
Work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and 2 days WFH) - Necessary condition;
Strong hands-on experience with Nagios, including configuration from scratch, plugin development or customization, alert tuning, and system integration;
Experience working with Windows Server environments and cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, supporting hybrid and cloud-based infrastructures;
Working knowledge of Linux operating systems, allowing effective monitoring and troubleshooting of Linux-based systems;
Experience monitoring assigned tasks and scheduled global reports, ensuring consistency and reliability of monitoring outputs;
Strong understanding of monitoring tool configuration, dashboarding, and integrations, supporting operational visibility and insights;
Hands-on scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, or shell scripting for monitoring automation, custom checks, and alerting workflows;
Experience building or significantly extending monitoring solutions from scratch;
Knowledge of SNMP, APIs, and log- or metrics-based monitoring approaches, supporting diverse monitoring scenarios;
Understanding of the ITIL framework, ensuring alignment with incident, problem, and change management processes;
Experience working with ticketing tools, supporting structured incident tracking and resolution;
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, enabling efficient diagnosis and resolution of monitoring-related issues;
Good communication and documentation skills, ensuring clear knowledge sharing and operational clarity;
Detail-oriented, process-driven, and proactive mindset, supporting stable and continuously improving monitoring operations.
We offer:
Salary for work amounting to 70,000 – 80,000 PHP;
Monthly transportation allowance of ₱4,000;
₱3,600 monthly de minimis non-taxable allowance;
