About project:  

We are looking for a Data Engineer for our Mexico client, a company specializing in building advanced tools for credit scoring analysis and fraud detection. Their solutions enable faster and more accurate identification of potential fraud risks during credit applications, supporting better financial decision-making. 

Responsibilities: 

• As Data Engineer you will be designing, developing, and implementing efficient and scalable data pipelines, enabling reliable extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from multiple sources into data warehouses using tools such as Azure Data Factory; 

• You will be building and maintaining modern data infrastructure, including distributed storage systems, databases, processing clusters, and monitoring solutions based on Microsoft Azure services; 

• You will be optimizing the performance of data platforms, identifying bottlenecks, fine-tuning data processes, and applying horizontal or vertical scaling techniques to ensure stability and efficiency; 

• You will be implementing security and compliance best practices, ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability across all data pipelines and storage layers; 

• You will be working closely with data science and analytics teams, understanding their data requirements and translating them into robust technical solutions that support advanced analytics and modeling;  

• You will be researching and evaluating new data engineering tools and technologies, recommending improvements that enhance performance, scalability, or maintainability of existing solutions; 

• You will be creating and maintaining technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, data flow descriptions, and configuration guidelines to support long-term platform sustainability. 

Requirements: 

• 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure SQL Database, ensuring the ability to design and operate cloud-based data solutions; 

• Experience deploying, configuring, and monitoring Azure resources, allowing you to manage and maintain production-grade data environments; 

• Hands-on experience with Python, enabling you to build data processing logic, automation scripts, and custom transformations; 

• Strong understanding of data architecture and solution design best practices on Azure, ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable data platforms; 

• Experience implementing and managing ETL workflows using Azure-native tools, supporting reliable data ingestion and transformation processes.  

We offer: 

• Salary for work amounting to 120,000 – 150,000 PHP; 

• ₱3,600 monthly de minimis non-taxable allowance;
